To those of you interested, an interesting interview with Michael Koppelman, the main Prince engineer since Graffitti Bridge to 0(+>, has just been posted at housequake:

Wow, I wonder if there are any stories out there where Prince showed compassion and understanding with people he worked with for any length of time? Time and time again we find out how selfish Prince has been, and why does he rarely, hardly ever, give credit where credit is due? I don't think much has changed. Look what he did to his loyal supporters over at NPGMC. Same thing he did to Mike -- so don't feel bad. Sometimes you gotta wonder why Prince even releases music and does performances? Is it just for the money and to show off how great he is? That's kinda sad, ain't it?

edit: make sure you check out the two mp3s about Prince here.

sigh You know, I've listened to his radio interview which was even more informative than this interview, and for sure he is an extremely intelligent, acomplished and capable man, but at the same time he comes across as highly pretentious. I can tell he has alot of great qualities but I mean...who didn't love "Gonna make you sweat" in '91? I mean really...other than that I'm sure since he is so good at what he does...it's only natural he would develop this snob aspect of his personality...but you know...I think he is the type of person who would readily admit that anyway...so...go Michael Koppelman!!! biggrin
