EVERYBODY NEEDS TO SEE THIS!!!!! [Larry Graham snip - luv4u]
PR1NCE was so on target when he quoted "Larry Graham is FUNK ITSELF" in the liner notes of Larry's last album "GCS2000" which was released in 1999 as part of the New Power Pack. This is why this Man is like a GOD on the bass. Just think what Larry would do with the bass line to "777-9311".....WHEWWWWW ! [Edited 7/8/06 8:48am] | |

I could only watch three seconds. He's great. Now, let's put him on the next Space Shuttle launch and hope something goes horribly wrong. | |

That man is ... wow. I gotta practice today.
And, tomorrow. And, the next day... And, on the next... | |

Yeah...yeah...yeah. We know Larry Graham is one of the baddest men to ever touch a bass! We...well...I...just don't like seeing him on stage with Prince. And no...that has nothing to do with me not liking to see Prince share the spotlight either. I positively LOVED seeing him with Stevie, Chaka, Yolanda, and India the other day!!! | |

----- Why don't you follow your own advice and book a seat on the next shuttle. I am sick and tired of you funk haters. Larry does not even show up as often as he use to but we still get bitching and complaining. Enough it is tired. | |

Larry Graham is top 3 in my all-time faverite bass players (James Jamerson, and Bootsy Collins). Larry is a living legend right in our midst. Oneken, you on point about hearing Larry play the bass line in his own style of "777-9311". I bought the Graham Central Station Anthology and was blown away at his playing. Especially "Earthquake" "The Jam" "Ghetto" to name a few. For people who want to know more go to youtube.com and check out his video clip of bass-playing techinques. He talks about the origins on the song ideas for many of Sly And The Family Stone hits. 3121 #1 THIS YEAR | |

What do you think of Victor Wooten? I went to see Bela Fleck & the Flecktones and he was so good it hurt my feelings!
Lynn "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World" | |

Lynn Lynn, the whole family's like that. I occasionally catch his brothers' show here in Nashville. They slam. But, they play everything a little too fast, in order to show off their virtuoso chops. | |

This post is about his ability as a bass player and we get crap about how he should get on a space shuttle. It is B.S and it needs to stop. After all we get a 100 post about how Wendy and Lisa are gods and that is just as tired as the Larry bitching. | |

Larry is the best bass player on this celestial orb. Let's keep him for awhile, why don't we? | |

Wow! I can't believe that anyone would find anything wrong with Larry Graham. As far as bass players are concerned Larry is a legend. Oh well, like Sly says "different strokes for different folks, and so on and so on and scoobie doobie doo". | |
