MidAmerica Talent is extremely proud to announce the formation of a new Minneapolis All-Star Supergroup, The Truth. Consisting of all former and current members of Prince & the Revolution, Prince’s NPG, The Time, The Family and Mint Condition, The Truth is truly an assembly of Minneapolis musical royalty.

'The Truth' consists of:
St. Paul Peterson (The Time, The Family) on bass, vocals, guitar and keyboards,
Jellybean Johnson (The Time, The Family) on guitar,
Eric Leeds (Prince) on saxophones, keyboards and vocals,
Dr. Matt Fink (Prince & the Revolution, The Family) on keyboards and vocals,
Chance Howard (Prince, The Time) on bass guitar, bass synth and vocals,
Jerry Hubbard (The Time, Jesse Johnson) on bass, keyboards, guitar and vocals,
Kip Blackshire (Prince) on vocals, keyboards and guitar,
Kirk Johnson (Prince) on drums and vocals,
Odell (Mint Condition) on guitar and vocals.

The Truth will perform every Thursday night at Trocadero’s, 107 3rd Avenue North in downtown Minneapolis beginning Thursday, June 15th. The cover charge will be $7.00, the music will begin at 9:30 PM and Valet Parking is available. For more information or dinner reservations please call (612) 465-0440 or go to www.trocaderos.com

The Truth will combine classic old school funk by Cameo, The Ohio Players and Funkadelic with classics by The Time, The Family, Mint Condition and Prince for a very special “Minneapolis Music” party every Thursday night that’s sure to keep the dance floor packed until 1:00 AM!

For more information or to schedule an Artist interview please contact Jeff Taube at (952) 948-0050

"Trust us this is something U don't want 2 miss!"

The Truth was instigated last month by Jeff and is sure to be lots of fun. The fellas had their first rehearsal last night. Obviously the band will change weekly depending on who is in town but I can guarantee you that Jeff will have the band kicking ass no matter who is around. He's a cool guy and this is a nice addition to the twin cities entertainment calendar. I've seen the songlist and it's pretty interesting ... lots of cool stuff. I think it is gonna be THE place to be on Thursdays for sure!

A similar outfit called The Minneapolis Allstars is also available for corporate parties/functions only although there is the possibility of a week long engagement in Las Vegas. This concept was instigated a few years back by St Paul (they did the 'Live @ The Quest' CD) and they did a show for hotel owners in Vegas a couple of months back. We'll keep you posted as to the musicians involved (the line-up includes some of the above names and many more along with a few surprises) down the track when the website is up and running. The site will be www.theminneapolissound.com along with a few variations.

On a similar note both St Paul & The Minneapolis AllStars and Mint Condition will be playing in London on June 29! Mint is doing 2 shows (the other is the 28th) so you can definitely get a taste of both!!

**Nusouldownunder, yes Jeff is a great guy, i work w/him very honest and hard working... and he trust, the guys are doing beyond their best...in which u can bet u're bottom dollar they r...this will b 1 2 go in the history books...1st class...deposit of funk & soul....!

Because EVERYONE & THEIR MAMA KNOWS THAT JELLYBEAN IS A DRUMMER!!!!! What a lotta people STILL don't know is that he's a KICKASS GUITARIST as well!!! Remember that guitar solo in "Innocent" by Alexander O'Neal???? What about "Why Should I Cry?" by Nona Hendryx. Oh yeah....."Fishnet" by Morris Day?? As much as I love Jesse, it wasn't him. It was JELLYBEAN!!!!! Hell, when I met him, he had on a Jimi Hendrix tie w/ his suit!!!!!

jellybean also knows how to play the guitar.

and trocadero's is right in my neighborhood too, just a few blocks up from where i live...i should check this out soon enough. cool

This sounds like it could be a lot of fun...being only an hour north of MPLS. As 4 Jellybean playing guitar...that is what he loves to play the most. That comes from a primary source...not no hearsay. Plus...some of us here have seen him play the guitar at Paisley Park a few times. Maybe see U there some night HCFS. Peace

- Producing and drumming on Prince´s weakest musical era is not something to receive props for...

But I respect Kirk for his efforts, and he did some nice stuff with Prince...few good stuff, but good. Not to mention that he was probably trying to do his best when he was with Prince smile

I wish him and this band all success.

Man... disbelief ...other than Paul, Eric, and Matt, screw the rest of that line-up.

Is that merely based on the status of their namefame ?

2 each their own but apart from some reviewed skills here of the other musicians , i think you might wanna check some albums on which the rest of the artists have played .

Oh , and i hope they will record A LOT of the live-jams on cd/dvd .
This project is too special to forget capturing on audio and film .

Sorry. I don't give people credit for being bad musicians and producers simply because they aspire to be more than lame ass dancers.

Kirk is a HORRIBLE drummer and an even worse "producer". You look at all the drummers that Prince has worked with over the years, and he is far and away the worst, and the band suffered while he was back there. They couldn't improv for shite when he was back there.
