I guess I'm one of the few here who hasn't seen so much of Mayte. I'd really love to see something where Mayte is dancing!! I've just seen the 7 and Holy River videos with her in and there she's not doing a lot of it. Anyone here who knows a site or somethin' where you can see her dance??? She seems to be a beautiful woman/person and you're all praising her so much. Whant some more proof!

Mayte is my favorite Prince back up dancer. I know she defiantly inspired MY style. Hahaha.

But some of her best moves were the 95 AMA's, VH1's fashion awards 95 Pussy Control preformance, Acknowledge me video, Pheronome video, oh and the 1992 Wembeley Arena show during Theives in the Temple.

I know alot of people think Mayte is untalented and yeah she did dance like a stripper sometimes...but...she is quiet talented. I loved it when she was in the NPG. She had a very sexy style...and Carmen Electra was a much better technical dancer..expecialy that hip hop style but Mayte had presence. She seems to be a very sexy dancer but I suppose that is due to her background in bellydancing which is very sensual. Ballet obviously was the foundation for her grace..she knows alot about dance and really feels the music which is much more important to me than knowing fancy steps. Mayte has an obvious kinesthetic intelligence which is important for dancers.

I saw the Phernome video and I was blown away by Mayte. She has such energy and sex appeal and passion. She is one of my favorite dancers ever.

Dance exotically, as in stripper or something like belly dancing?

I don't find stripping to be a big deal either - as long as it also does not include prostitution and/or drug use.

But it is a hard job...everyone assumes that guys just hand you money and it's not that way all the time...I work very hard for it...you are pretty much just a sales person....I get tired of dealing with drunk perverts all the time...if you are making money and some of the other girls are not the claws come out and they will resort to starting rumors about you...even to customers!...

And I have to admit...there is a part of my personality that gets a kick out of doing something socially unacceptable...I get to see a world that other's don't see...since I write alot I've even thought about writing about about my experiences dancing and try to get it published....I wouldn't want to exploit the profession though...or encorage alot of other young women to start doing it...you really have to be a strong person to deal with this world...and know yourself
