where's the book??? I am not holding my breathe but what ever happened to Denise Matthews Sniths' tell all book???
Want a copy of it and has anyone read it...If not will the book ever be released can she mention P-----?? After all she did sign the first confidentuallity contract involving info on him. No interview for the 1984 cover of Rolling Stone... Does she need anyone that was around that was not getting high with Rick James to jog her memory??? Because I do proofread???? Seriously.... sorry if that was over your head...jump up and try to catch the point next time. | |

I agree.I mean,let's face it....Vanity is not exactly a household name in the entertainment world.She will forever be known as a former Prince protege who had one hit song ("Nasty Girl").Outside of the Prince fan community,there is just not alot of interest in her story.I suspect that this is the real reason why her book hasn't been released.She's having a hard time finding a distributor. | |

On her website, her bio talks about how she cam from an abusive home and became famous and lived the high life, literally. I don't see how you get into any kind of detail about that without mentioning the most vital period of her career -- the thing that made her. For f***'s sake, Prince gave her her name! She was both the lead singer for Vanity 6 and a solo artist with at least 2 albums under the Motown label. Anyway, I think it would be helpful as part of her cautionary tale of what not to do. At this point in her life, I think it's clear that she only wants to spread postiivity. I think she can do that and discuss her Prince years. She needs to invoke "Vanity" as an example of what she is not. Isn't the title of the book, "What I Did for Vanity?" Come here, babe.. yeah... | |

I just mean that she's conservative, married, preaching god etc. It's amazing and makes you realize that you never know where your future's going to take you. Her childhood pics ARE beautiful...she still looks fabulous (she's aged better then Prince or any of his other protegees I think. | |
