Actually Prince just said on SNL that Tamar's album would be out May 2nd. |

Does anyone really like Tamar that much. I mean in my opinion she is okay but I don't think she will be a star. Just another NPG artist but I guess if they are both having fun that's cool. | |

Well I do, and BTW according to Tamar's promo CD she's not signed to NPG Records despite Billboard reporting her album was produced by Prince. She's signed directly to Universal just like Prince's early proteges (The Time, Vanity/Apollonia 6, Sheila E.) were originally signed directly to Warner Bros. in the "Starr Company" era. |

I am liking Tamar so far too. True she is an originary R&B artist, but with today's music is very suck, people waiting for someone like her. I think that her and Prince have a great chemistry and they both are having fun together. It is too early to tell whether Tamar will be mainstream, but I read somewhere on the org (or Housequake) that her single is off to a good start as it is getting many spins on Urban radio stations. She might or might not be a mainstream star but I got the feeling she is going to do well at least in the R&B audiences. | |

May 2nd, according to Prince. I am assuming he probably helped "produce" her album, but the backing label is indeed Universal. | |
