LOVESEXY REHEARSAL QUESTION: Katrina and The Brothers? Ok I remember hearing Prince talking to the band during a Lovesexy rehearsal I
had on tape years ago, and he was talking about a London band called Sabrina or Katrina and The Brothers? He said something like there were 40 of them on stage at one time but they were hot. And this is true, back when Audiogalaxy was around I downloaded a bunch of stuff by them and the tracks were tight. But then in transferring computers etc. I lost the tracks. NOW I CAN'T EVEN REMEMBER THE NAME OF THE BAND. CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP? An actaual band name? A website...ANYTHING...PLEASE??? My name is Prince and I want your money

Thanx, But I can't find ANYTHING on the web about this band any more. It's like they never existed. It's a shame because I had alot of there stuff on MP3 and lost it all. They were pretty good from what I recall. My name is Prince and I want your money

I heard that same rehearsal boot!
I think they were actually called Diana Brown and the Brothers. They were part of the London 'Acid Jazz' scene (think Brand New Heavies, Galliano etc.) The only track I've heard of theirs is a cover of James Brown's 'Hot Pants'. Diana Brown also recorded a minor hit called 'The Masterplan' with Barrie K Sharpe that pretty much typifies the early 90s Acid Jazz sound.
