I'm not sure we know the whole story. I got a girlfriend once in what some would consider a "hurtful and sneaky" way, but I know I was totally innocent from what others perceived I had done. Maybe Mani is too? If not, then we can say that Prince has done similar things with the ones he's pursued, eh. It's part of what makes us human, I guess.

It amazes me that people can hate someone that they really don't know. Do you know all the facts of the collapse of Prince & Mayte's marriage? Do you know all the details of how Prince & Mani started seeing each other? You may have heard a whole lot of rumours, but you really should take those with a grain of salt.

Consider this though: Prince is good friends with Larry Graham, an elder of the Jehovah's Witnesses. Since Prince belongs to this faith, and Graham was the one to perform the ceremony, don't you think there is a little more to the story than what the rumours present? The JW faith does not approve of adultry, and I seriously doubt that Graham would perform the ceremony if P had been having an affair with Mani while still married to Mayte. Say what you want about Larry, but the dude doesn't compromise his principles for anyone, even Prince (he refrained from joining the "Hit and Run" tour because "Darling Nikki" was in the setlist, and he didn't approve of the song's content). Think about it.

I can't really form a personal opinion of somebody I don't know personally. The way she presents herself makes it seem like she's very classy while down to earth and doesn't crave the spot light like some of Prince's other ladies.(Which isn't necessarily a bad thing.) However, the rumors of how they became involved in the first place make her character seem a little more questionable.

Right or wrong, I can't say I hate her because she's never given me a personal reason to. Every personal account that I've read or have heard about her has always been nothing but positive.It seems that the majority of hate that comes her way is from people who have never met hert.
