In 1985,after Apollonia 6 broke up,I heard rumors that Prince was planning to put together another female singing group.They were known as Neapolitan and the concept was very Supremes-ish with no dirty lyrics.One girl was black,one white and there was a red-head (hence the name "Neapolitan").

Around the same time,I also heard about a female band known as Mercedes,which was planned as a female version of Mazarati.A group of females who could play (sorta like Klymaxx?),this could have been really interesting.


Does anyone recall hearing about any other planned side projects?
