Come on Susan, I'll tuck you in... WTF?? Sooo, was Susan supposed to be retarded or something? Seriously, when Appollonia says, "Come on Susan, I'll tuck you in." & Susan says, "Okay." like she needs special care & shit - was that supposed to be sexy in some weird, "two chicks in the bed" kinda way OR was that broad retarded?? :O Think about it - every song she sings is REALLY broken down, the simplest shit P ever wrote...
smoke - a - cigarette I'm - not - ready yet make... ... ... up ooh - do it - drive me wild come on baby drive me wild She always looked a little dumbfounded in the pictures they took, she held a stuffed animal all the time. Maybe she was supposed to be like a little girl a "sexy" little girl, which would be really fucking sick! So what's the verdict - all a dumb act or a true 'tard on wax?

I have always felt a little uneasy with the way Susan was portrayed.I mean, they had her wearing a camisole AND holding a teddy bear, like a little girl?? And there were "rumors" that she was only 16 at the time.I'm sure this was just Prince's way of raising a few eyebrows and creating a little controversy, but still...
As for the songs she sang,a critic once reviewed the Apollonia 6 album and commented on "Ooh She Wa Wa"..."this track confirms what the Vanity 6 album suggested...that Susan is definitely the NON-singing element of the trio". On all of her songs, she doesn't even attempt to sing or carry a note. She simply talks her way through the song!

This is what makes Susan an d those old Vanity 6 records so great...they knew that they were getting your attention by looking sexy as hell and not really doing much singing - unlike the talentless hoes of today's pop, they didnt try to pass themselves off as divas - they were tramps and we loved them for it. ...cause FACE said so!!!

Yeah, the whole "little girl" act kinda always bothered me, especially the teddy bear thing.
Maybe it just meant she had a child-like personality? You know, Vanity/Apollonia was the nasty one, Brenda was the tuff one, maybe Susan was the really naive, child-like one? Anyway, one thing's for sure, whenever I hear "ooo she she wa wa" & "make-up", I certainly laugh my ass off. ~KiKi

Yeah, the lyrics to that song are embarassingly bad... "My name is Susan, and I'm-a-oozin,with desire, desire for you"

Yeah...they were portraying heterosexual 'fantasy' roles...
Vanity/Appolonia--Vampy, seductive, black hair, costumes Brenda--Street, tough talking, cigarette smoking, leather Susan--Sweet, naive, innocent, 'Where's my Sugardaddy' motif...and shaped like a bottle of C-C-Coca Colaaa...and a built in attitude..like ya neva seen! Every minute of last night is on my face today....

Man, the whole Susan character really bothered me, like I said before, maybe she just had a child-like, naive personality? But I have heard she was only 16 when she joined Vanity6, that just really bothers me, maybe that's what Prince wanted to do? ~KiKi
