Unlike some of P's associates who were promised solo albums that never materialized (ie. Rosie), Jill's was released after a great deal of time and care was put into it. Another positive point that makes Jill's situation a little brighter compared to other associates is the fact that she was given co-writing credit on many songs unlike many of P's other proteges. On the other hand, Brownmark is someone I would definitely consider as being screwed by Prince. What happened between them? I thought Mark didn't leave him when the revolution disbanded. So what's the scoop? In regards to the Brown Mark situation: "The entire situation was coming unglued. Wow, well that covers how the money P was offering compared to others in the same time period. I guess people can't go thru the whole "$1000 in that year is worth "XYZ" since Nicks was offering more during the same time. That sux since Mark was a member of the band, not a hired musician the way he would be for Stevie nicks yet she still would have paid three times more. In 83, Stevie was P's "date" at an award show in Minni. There is a printed interview from Stevie talking about P driving her to one of her shows and him driving like a mad man. It wasn't as open to the public like Rick James dating Linda Blair, but it was known. They were dating on and off even before P wrote the music and played keyboards and guitar on Stevie's cut "Stand Back". SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz.
