If you know Prince you know Pattie Labelle is one of his best friends.

Pattie has confessed she's frightened of a couple things but nothing more complicaiting than flying.

No lie, Pattie is so afraid of flying that she never uses airlines or jets. For a normal person that might be alright but for anybody famous it may seem impossible to get about without a jet.

So I'm wondering just how does she do it? I mean for the North American continent bus is okay but whenyou've got to go to Europe,Asia, or Australia there's nothing even close to airliners.

I mean I know she has had to have done concerts in Europe and the Far East,but how
on Earth? Buses and trains can't travel on water, boats will never get you there ontime.

Are you sure you are not confusing Miss Patti with Aretha??

Aretha has long admitted to a fear of flying and is also why you can almost never see her live.

I had tickets in the 80s to Aretha and she cancelled. IT wasn't until a couple years ago that she performed at JVC Jazz Fest in NYC that I saw (in 2nd row!) I also Patti there too but tha'ts not the point.

In contrast, Patti tours all over the country. I've seen her all over, from NYC, to Palm Springs.

I"ve read her books and never heard of her being afraid to fly.
