PRINCE RELEASES MORE NEW SONGS: Classic Recordings And Live Image Awards Clips At NPG Music Club (April 7, 2005) Los Angeles, CA. -- Prince's NPG Music Club has released an exclusive 12-minute clip culled from Prince's March 25th NAACP Image Awards performance. Titled the "Vanguard Jam," the electrifying video features Prince, Sheila E., Morris Day & Jerome Benton of The Time performing the songs "D.M.S.R.," "Housequake," and the debut of a new Prince song "Satisfied." In addition, the site has also made available the new single recorded at Prince's Paisley Park recording studio, "GlassCutter," as well as the Kamasutra CD that features a beautiful 11 movement instrumental love poem recorded with the NPG Orchestra. Fans worldwide can now purchase these future Prince classics exclusively through Prince's own download music service at www.NPGMusicClub.com. Digging deep into his vast archive of music, the NPG Music Club recently released a live version of Prince's hit "Strange Relationship," recorded in 1987 with his Sign O' The Times band at the legendary First Avenue nightclub, made famous by the feature film Purple Rain. The NPG Music Club has also made available a live, three-track EP recorded in 1995 at Paisley Park, proving once again Prince is the ultimate performer in any decade. Four classic NPG Records albums from the NPG catalogue have also been added to the download service, bringing the number of downloadable Prince tracks to well over 200 songs. All are exclusively available direct from the source in the NPG Music Club. The NPG Music Club was created in 2001 and is currently the top artist-owned and completely independent download service, winning "Best Use of Technology by an Artist" from the Billboard Digital Entertainment Awards. Misleading Title
They mean new releases / old songs

so presuming we take this as an npgmc release, anyone notice they call glass cutter 'the new single'?
personally i think they just mean new song and its not a proper single released to radio or anything. with musicology prince never made the single available as a single download, not sure why he'd do that with glass cutter. still, interesting choice of words i suppose

Correct me if I am wrong, but there is a song called ´Kamasutra Overture´ where Eric Leeds plays with Prince...if all the instruments were him, he was very tight there. ´Glass Cutter´ is amazing!

Kamasutra is credited to "The NPG Orchestra" so it is safe to assume that others contributed to the recording including Eric Leeds and Clare Fischer. Believe it or not, Kamasutra/Overture #8 and another track from Kamasutra were re-recorded with Eric Leeds, retitled "17" and "18" and were intended for a new Madhouse record in 2000. This alternate version of "Kamasutra/Overture #8" appears on an NPGMC Ahdio show from 2001.

WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO MAKE THE DOWNLOADS MAC COMPATIBLE? I would love to support the NPGMC (like the email suggested), but I can't play a damn thing on my computer.

WHAT'S UP WIT DAT? Macs cant play mp3's? Sure they can, ene the windows mediafiles but it's the download system itself that is not compatible. You can go through all the steps exceptthe final bit where yiu have to push "play". I had mine downloaded by a friend on pc. Once I had the files I could also play them on mac, after veryfiing my liscence online. The HQ-er formerly known as krokostimpy.
