well, in my opinion thats why she was obviously the most important ex girlfriend to him. from what ive read it appears it was a very difficult decision to split. All you have to do for concisive proof is look at the songs he wrote when he was with her and when they broke up - All the classics, some of the most affecting love songs ever written!

Its no coincidence shes gorgeous.

Not trying to nitpick and it really doesn't matter to me who he's with, I just find those statements of who he loved more ludicrous when nobody knows this man's private thoughts/feelings but him and God Almighty. Why'd he have to be writing about anyone in particular? Maybe he just picked a subject out of the air and wrote a song. Or who's to say he didn't reach back to some old high school girlfriend for the inspiration?

Why is it assumed Susannah was so important to him and those songs had to be about her? Who's to say he wasn't seeing another woman on the side and those songs are about her? If Susannah was all that integral to his life, he'd still be with her, right? The 'he wrote about her, she was more his soul mate than anyone else' seems more based on the fan's need for him to be more into a certain woman than fact. I'd say the most important woman to him is whoever he's with at the moment. Actions speak louder than words IMO.

It seems we all have our preferences, and I do prefer Susannah's many looks, but Susannah's mature vocal work from "Around the World in A Day" to "Sign O The Times" and even to "Crystal Ball" are what make her EXQUISITE to me. Her work with Wendy & Lisa wasn't bad, either!
