triple threat tour:the homecoming Man,this is another new boot I have been blessed with. It's a 2 disc set of the 1999 tour with vanity 6,the time, and prince playing in mn. I haven't even really listened to Prince's set, yet. I am so impressed with vanity 6 and the time's sets. I had never heard vanity 6 live and they were better than i ever imagined. Of course, the time played tightly their music and the girls "sang".It is such funkiness! And the crowd was sooo excited for both sets.I wish I could have been there or could,at least, view that scene. That was really the peak before the purple rain peak. I mean, this was the shiznit, though because this was the peak of the purple underground deal they had going. This cd,for me,now,is just as important as "the avenue" document. This was the end of an era and "the avenue" was the beginning of another.
The set is soundboard, but not on par with say,"small club",but it is easily listenable. I have been playing this alot.It has gotten me into listening to the Vanity 6 "album" again.Well, this set and Gwen Stefani's cd have influenced me. Vanity 6 was some cool punk/funk/new wave shit. I miss that sound. And I wish I had all the tracks for the second vanity 6 album.I only have the segues,"vibrator","climax",and "wet dreams cousin". "I'm a pig..so,magic elixir I swill"

I'm pretty sure noone has these tracks since they ended up becoming Apollonia 6 tracks.
I've herad Sex Shooter with Vanity vocals... but the sound quality isn't that good, but Vanity does have more attitude.
