Jesse...no doubt about it!
Four solo albums for himself, he
produced/wrote for people such as
Janet Jackson, TaMara
& The Seen, DaKrash, Paula Abdul, Clarence Clemmons
He appeared on the sound tracks of Pretty in Pink,
White Men Can't Jump, The Five Heartbeats and The
Breakfast club.
Perfomed on albums by Rod Stewart, Wendy &
Lisa, Sheila E, and EnVogue.
Well that's a little bit of what he has done
since writing Jungle Love and The Bird(two
of The Time's biggest hits)!

definetly Jesse. He is a better at writing and producing. Morris's strong point has always been live performance.

I love some solo Jesse! "Every shade of love" is a great pop album plus i love "jump 4 it" off the 'white men cant jump' soundtrack and that track he did 4 Eddie murphy/nick nolte movie 'another 48 hours' (plus kool school and i forgot about "I need u" from Paula's album).....

but i still prefer morris's solo career as I think all 3 (yes even "Garaunteed") r good solid albums that I prefer over jesse's!

"oak tree" to me is better then "The bird" and "Jungle love" (thanx to slower album versions as opposed to the different sounding movie versions) plus "color of sucsess" "Dont wait 4 me" (a great ballad)....."Daydreaming" "Fishnet"- this is a classic too,"Love is a game" "Sally" "Angle don't" "Who's that girl".....

First 2 albums r really god all the way through, which is something i can barely say about prince plus his "Garaunteed" album has some solid newjack which is not to everyones taste but does invcude nice ballad "Everlasting".....

.....all this beats Jesse's output but if Jesse woulda just used the singing style he did on "Every shade of love" on his earlier albums, then i might of change my mind!

Jesse by a LONG shot. Morris is an excellent front man but Jesse is the real talent. Jesse is far underrated. I think Prince has only been afraid of two people...Andre and Jesse.

Jesse by a mile. Why on earth would Prince be afraid of Jesse or Andre? His talent runs circles around the both of them COMBINED.

There's no question about who's the most talented, it's definately Prince. But of all the people Prince has ever worked with, Andre and Jesse are the only two that could come close and Prince knew it.

As a Jesse Johnson fan, I would say that Jesse had the better solo career. I miss having his presence in The Time. I have good memories of seeing him in concert. He's definitely a hell of an guirtarist and gives P and run for his money. He had some good cuts on most of his albums. Some of my favorite cuts are: "I want to be your man," "Special Love," Free World," "Every Shade of Love," So Misunderstood," and "Crazy

music " I just wanna be your man baby. Oh, oh, oh." fro music
