I know we have a rule here about not asking for or wanting to trade.....but I was wondering why, at Housequake, they have a whole forum devoted to this and they can get away with it?

Good question - and I think we're better off without a bootlegs forum. It's not like we can't or don't talk about 'em when the mood strikes, don'tcha know.

ah, here's what the official rules of the quake says... now whether or not these rules are actually enforced is a different question. (and before housequakers start throwing fecal matter this way, I'm actually totally unsure of the going-ons at housequake.com, as I NEVER visit... I'm just speculating!)

No discussions on where to buy/sell bootlegs.
No posting of actual bootleg covers in the forum.
No direct linking to illegal audio/video or software.
No promoting or selling Ebay items by posting links.
No trading or selling NPGMC or Official material.
No discussing on how to record shows.
No requests for uploads to ABMP or TRH.
TRH and ABMP discussion should be kept to an absolute minimum.
No posting of MP3s (movies for 'website viewing' is allowed though)

Yes the rules are enforced ofcourse, otherwise there wouldn't be a bootleg forum for years already on Housequake.com. We are VERY strict with it. Spectulating if we enforce it or not while you never have visited Housequake.com in the first place?????

Hiys aaron... calm yourself I put a disclaimer on my original post, but guess it wasn't as clear as I meant it to be... and I've been a member of Housequake for almost a year now and visit it every so often (most noticeably when the org was down - when was it - last year?)... but I find the org to be more my thang... my boyfriend's more the hardcore Housequaker in the group... plus I'm not even that big a fan of boots in the first place!
