SUGGESTION ON 'REPLY WITH QUOTE' Is there a way Ben or any Mod can stop orgers who 'reply with quote' on long threads. Not only does it make reading a thread hard, there is no need for it. I think most people can remember the original message. Quoting a part of what someone has written is fine because it was funny or you may disagree. But the WHOLE POST.
Also leaving a huge gap in between a message and the signature, pointless ! [This message was edited Sat Mar 27 0:01:10 2004 by xt1000] "If you really want something in this life, you have to work for it - Now quiet, they're about to announce the lottery numbers!"

LOL I knew that was gonna happen. But what I said was true. "If you really want something in this life, you have to work for it - Now quiet, they're about to announce the lottery numbers!"

In order to fix that, u'd have to kill all the stupid orgers. That would mean that not a whole lotta people would be left. So I think that it's a feature you'll have to put up with, sorry.

We got some really beautiful, organic threads going here in the past that started with exactly this topic. Unfortunately none survived, and so did almost non of the participating artist/orgers. Also leaving a huge gap in between a message and the signature, pointless ! Seems to me like it could be done... But I think Ben mostly nailed it when he got rid of the quote inside the quote inside the quote inside the quote inside the quote inside the quote inside the quote inside the quote inside the quote inside the quote ad infinitum... The huge gaps are sometimes used to hide spoilers or to pause before seeing a punchline...I dunno if I'd outlaw those...maybe limit them to one page or so... Fear is the mind-killer.
