What direction would you like to see the org go?

I’ve been thinking (ok don’t laugh it’s not the first time lol)

Many people have been unhappy with the direction the org has went, many have left due to this, so i thought i would ask. We are such a diverse group; we have so many idea’s. We certainly know what we like and what we don’t like LOL.

Do you have any ideas in how you would like the org to be?
Are there any changes you would implement?
Would you leave it the way it is?
Etc…

I hope i haven’t tred on any ones toes by asking these questions, yet it seems to be a topic that’s on many peoples minds, i miss certain people, i’m sad that so much feel so down with the goings on, so lets see if we can bang our heads together and see what we can come up with.

P.S redface Don’t beat me /flame me i’m hormonal batting eyes

hmm, the ability to voice chat in here
sending files through the org buddy lists
or even sending attachments through org notes.. that would be cool,

I think we should sail the seas! Like modern day pirates!

We could visit every port, giving out flowers and getting strange sexual diseases.

We could learn to talk to the dolphins and whales and have frank exchanges of ideas on the high seas. (With the dolphins and whales that is. Although I'm not sure what use their ideas would be in a practical sense. Aquatic weirdo's!)

We could use our new found freedom to educate the world on global issues. Issues we could decide on later after we've eaten.

We could pee over the side of the ship. And no-one could stop us.

This will all depend on bandwidth. Obviously.

people who are complaining about the direction the org has been going are either relatively new or they haven't been paying attention. it's heading in the same direction it always has been.

I think there's too much complaining about the org. Minor changes might be cool, but overall, things are fine. Some of my suggestions:

* Combine the "Prince: Music and More" forum with the "Associated Artists and People" forum
* Add a java-based chatroom and private instant message function like over at gay.com, and the chatroom will take off like a rocket! nod
* Consider a slightly updated redesign. It's cool to have quick-loading pages, but this wash of purples and absolute void of graphic content is sort of depressing. lol

But overall, good job!

it was a question, not a statement, mr. hypersensitivity...

and maybe you're right, maybe i wouldn't make a good moderator, but since you have used the same descriptions of me that you have for other orgers who became mods, i tend to take it as a sign that i would be. wink

did i say "all of the moderators?" good lord, relax...

the truth of the matter, as i told carrie yesterday, is that i had actually grown fairly ambivilent about it some time ago. i stopped pursuing ben about it about 4 weeks ago, and at this point, if he does, great, if he doesn't somewhat better.

i just like seeing you and RD get all worked up and being such drama queens about it. wink

and i can't think of a whole lot of times you have been more overdramatic then pulling out orgnotes from a petty tiff almost 4 months ago and using that and wild over-exaggerations based on stuff even older as the basis for some big campaign you thought you were gonna mount. lol
