Campaign to keep cborgman from being a moderator

I'm serious about this. So please don't delete it. I'm not slamming the guy, I'm just laying forth the reasons why I don't think he would make a good moderator. So don't bring any flaming to this, just say you agree or you disagree:

There has been a rumour that cborgman might become the new moderator. It's popped up in a few threads, and several people have orgnoted me wondering about it, saying that they too think it would be

He is overly sensitive, and about once a month, goes into emotional meltdown and has to leave the site. At the slightest hint of "negativity" he becomes incredibly insulted and has a hard time dealing with people who aren't kind and loving to him all the time. He often takes light-hearted humor as "unnessecarily cruel attacks", for example, the ones he cited to me himself:

http://www.prince.org/msg...sg_1034622
and
http://www.prince.org/msg...sg_1046588

Anyway, I sincerely hope that ben hasn't lost touch with his own site so much that he's actually considering making cborgman a moderator. I do not know if he has, but I know that I've seen the idea pop up in a few threads and several people orgnoted me. I don't know what they expected me to do, but maybe this was it.

i have a marvelous idea... how about asking real questions instead of just trying to rally everyone based on lots of wild exaggerations and thinly veiled propoganda?

ask what question? i have no question to ask. i made a statement. the only exaggeration involved is one of the reasons why you shouldn't be a moderator. there is no propaganda here. i'm making a case for why you shouldn't be a moderator. even you know that you're ill-suited for the job. i'm just pointing it out before it's too late.

well, first of all the statement about every month is a wild over-exaggeration, the part about the "examples he cited to me" is a flat out lie, since the thread you linked was not an example i cited, the line about "At the slightest hint of "negativity" he becomes incredibly insulted and has a hard time dealing with people who aren't kind and loving to him all the time" is a wild exaggeration...

and it is propoganda, otherwise you would have just orgnoted ben instead of starting two threads about it.

but dowhatchalike... no skin off my nose since it's not up to a populist vote anyway

who could ever forget

where he was told if he were black he might have seen things alittle differently about racist posts. He said something to the effect that negative things where always said about gay people, "but if someone said nigger people would go apeshit"

do not lie, chris. those are the EXACT 2 examples you cited to me, as for why you had left the org at that particular point, and you used the exact words "cruel" and "unnecessary attacks". those are EXACTLY the posts you cited to me.

the line about "At the slightest hint of "negativity" he becomes incredibly insulted and has a hard time dealing with people who aren't kind and loving to him all the time" is a wild exaggeration...

sure it is. how many times have you deleted a thread or asked for one to be locked, because your delicate feelings were hurt? remember the one about the gift bratchildsfriend sent you?

and it is propoganda, otherwise you would have just orgnoted ben instead of starting two threads about it.

ben has little to no comprehension of the personalities involved in this site or what goes on here. for christ's sake, he didn't know what anyone was talking about in a thread a few below this one about the star ratings system, even though there have been about 10 threads complaining about it in the last month, on multiple forums.

but dowhatchalike... no skin off my nose since it's not up to a populist vote anyway

no, it's not. you're right. but it would be good to note the dissatisfaction of you as moderator noted up front before you become one and start deactivating/banning people left and right for not treating you with kid gloves and walking on eggshells around you all the time.

so now that i've deftly shot him down, let's get back to the point. and stop with the flaming. i intentionally have kept from flaming here, and i understand why cborgman is turning into an argument, even when he doesn't have a leg to stand on. but this is in no way a flame. as i stated in the original thread, i actually like cborgman. i think when he's not over-reacting he's a great contributor to the site. i just don't think he's moderator material.

the org is not a democracy; the people here do not have a say in who gets to be mod and who doesn't. being a mod is a voluntary thing, not somethin that you take part in a vote for. just because one suggests somethin don't mean that it will/will not happen.

enough with these damned 'campaign' threads already, eh? share your opinions on things, sure...but not like this. any questions, y'know how to reach me.

thanx for playing.
