I have asked NUMEROUS times over the past months to have my account deleted, but to no avail.

Other people I have known on this site - such as TongueBox -have obviously asked to have their accounts closed and the request was honored. I am curious as to why some people are able to get their accounts deleted, whereas others requests are ignored.

Though in actuality, I guess I don't really care one way or another why some people get their accounts deleted when they request it and others are ignored...All I really want is MY account CLOSED/DELETED as well.

I don't wish to use or frequent this site any longer, and I want my account deleted and I'm getting a little irritated that it never gets done though I have asked numerous times.

I hope SOMEONE with moderator responsibilities will this time PLEASE honor my request or at least let me know why my deletion request is being ignored.

I don't understand why people delete their accounts. As long as you don't share the password and don't log in the account is as good as gone. This allows for a change of heart which many people who have their accounts deleted seem to have.

I think deleting accounts is a silly practice, too. It's not like you get your money back or nuthin'.

The fact that your account still exists does not force you into continuing to post here. If you want off the site, leave the site. Whether or not your account has been deleted is irrelevant. I don't really see what the issue is.

All requests to delete accounts currently go to Ben I believe, he's the chap who normally deals with them. And Ben, like most of us, is a busy person. So our official response would be "it'll get done when we get around to it".

However, in your case, since you've asked so nicely, I'll deactivate your account now to prevent you further misery. It must be awfully troubling to lie awake at night, knowing that your Org account is still active.

For future reference though - the quickest way to "leave the site" is to stop typing in www.prince.org in your web browser.

Then several months later I signed back up and reopened it.

Sometimes I wish I could just leave.Unforuanately, the ORG is like crack to me !
