I have been here for just under 11 years, not quite as long as some of you guys, but still a long time. I was banned in 2008 and the end of 2010 but rejoined in early 2011 and have managed not to get banned again.

Banning is a bitch I guess, and I do remember the early days, my posts were very illiterate as I could not type and was quite naive as a fan since then, I have become a more knowledgeable fan and had a lot of fun along the way. I find if I stick to Prince and stay away from Politics and religion and the General Discussion forums (Which is 90% sex anyway) I am fine. I think our orgers have got more tolerant over time and more graceful. I can't even even remember my last warning now.

14 yrs & 2 months here, and I was around in the AMP and the Prince mailing list time. I was Celestine in the NPGMC days. I saw him in the States and Europe, ( I planned trips around his concerts- because of him I saw a little bit of this world), I am so humbled, honored, and blessed to have shared a space and this planet with such a magnificent man for such a short time.

Still feel like this last few weeks isn't real and he'll announce another tour soon. It just seems wrong on so many levels.

i come and go... started here around 14 years ago

I first logged on here around 1998 - used to read the site everyday at work . I remember the excitement I had at that time about receiving Crystal Ball in the post from the website order.

Have had different usernames (mgck01 or something like that, sledgemcpeak, mksledge etc) here as I 4got passwords over the years - never posted much.

I liked the NPGMC website days, used to watch housequake.com a lot too, still have lots of the old Controversy fanzines, man how time has passed..

most amazing xperience 4 me was the spirit niteclub aftershow in 2002...

It just dawned on me how cool it is that despite not being around for SIX friggin' years, how incredibly comforting it was to login to my same old profile, with my same old avatar & feel at home here all over again - it's like the Org welcomed me back without even knowing it I'd been gone for so long, but now I can't seem to stay away, we all know why but I just had to say THANK YOU for creating & sustaining a place where we could all gather in honor of this powerful force that moved us all on some level. I dunno what I'd do without this place right now, but I sure as hell would be in a worse place mentally, unable to remember (& forget it for little moments here & there) with like minds. It's just nice, & I'm grateful for it - THANKS to Ben, Val & all the Mods for all you do!!
