Just a quick shout out to those who've been here for a long time. (I couldn't believe when I looked and realzed I signed up 12 years ago.)

For so many years it felt like there were just a few dozen of us. I'm sure it was more than that, but I can remember in the MPG Music Club days, Prince was far less popular than he'd been and it sort of felt like he was all ours. It was an underground feeling, like when "The War" was released.

I'm thrilled to see so many new fans here (though devastated at the circusmtances) and glad they will now have access to more clips and tracks than we had then.

But I just felt like raising a glass to those who spent so much time here, as I think we're experiencing a very unique grief.

First post since he's gone.

I didn't always log in to view but it was part of my regular computer routine to check the org for updates. We always never knew what was next.

I checked the org the night before just to see if he was expanding the piano tour to my area.

It says 14 plus years but I thought it was longer ago than that.

I thought there was some site around the time that Crystal Ball came out. Can't remember but I remember posting somewhere during the summer of '96 when I went to one of his parties and that was the first time I saw him pop into the dance party for a little while and then he left.

yep, also recall the Prince mailing list...over 12 yrs on here...but mostly as a reader...

I think theres so much music and video that should come out (and unfortunately family drame) but most of all the community we've built, that we'll be around for long while more.

17 years? Maybe 18? I have no idea.

Good to see so many old orgers back here. I just wish it wasn´t because Prince died.

Can't believe its been about 24 years I've been listening to Prince - he's been such a big part of my life I didn't even realise. I listened tot the Funkenberry podcast last night and all I could do was cry.

My profile says I've been a registered user for 12 years 11 months 26 days. However, this was not my original account. I recall that I stopped coming for a couple years sometime after 2001 and when i came back my original count had been removed.

I was on alt.music.prince before this.

Signed up in the purple and black days. Got myself a temp ban in 2004 for arguing with Sosgemi (sp?), threw a hissy fit and deleted my account. Rejoined 6 months later with my current username. Late last year I got fed up with the org and the bitching so I deleted my account but the withdrawals brought me back and signed up again 4 months ago. I think I will stick around for another 10 years or so before deleting my account again. Seems like a nice round number to refresh the stats. I would rather see a lower post count than one in the thousands. It makes me realise how much time I spend not working!
