Why aren't these thread stickies? Or even better: on the front page?

Currently the front page mostly consists of outdated concert dates. So why then not focus attention on actual news:

RodeoSchro	You have nothing but criticism for this site. Clearly you don't like it, and clearly you feel your programming skills are far better than those found here. So why don't you start your own website?
