Seems like they should at least be able to fit the space provided by the board coding. I mean, you can look over there too the left and see how much wider (and therefore longer) they could be without causing any problems.

It would be cool, but its not something I really trip on. The eyes still adjust to seeing a shape, picture, pattern etc and associating it with a particular persons posts. Except for you, imago, because yours is always changing.
