Introductions or other such traditions a norm? Different message boards have their own ways about them and I just recently signed up. I figure I would ask about any norms such as making an introductory post before I engage in any of the other forums.
I thought it might be best to ask first.

Well, I was thinking about doing so if nothing more than to explain why I chose to sign up but wasn't sure if I should put it in general chat or if it was just the type of thing people don't do around here.
Perhaps I will go ahead and put one in there this evening...Thanks. [Edited 7/7/11 16:09pm]

Sure! Often people post an "I'm new here" topic in General Discussion and then people come in and welcome them...and warn them.
Welcome! | |

Well, yeah...this place is a nightmare! Any decent human being would warn a fellow traveler off before they get sucked into the borg.
