Don't it make you mad?? *Morris voice*

What are some of the things that annoy you on the org? Besides certain orgers...

Mad at the org? Well, I think the "My org" and "Log out" buttons are way too close to each other for clods like me. And don't even get me started on how close together "Delete avatar" and "Save forum preferences" are.

Well, since I can't say "certain orgers", I'm done! lol

I think it's fine for the most part. It's actually much better than it's made out to be most of the time (my opinion, of course). I think there's an occasional uncessary thread moved and fight let go too long. But really, it's pretty mellow compared to a lot of other places online these days.

Oh, I agree about the My Org and Log Out thing, though. I mess that up at least once a week. lol

Wrong forum.

But in the meantime, I'd say the Org is overdue for a redesign.

Mad? Nothing.

But I do laugh at a lot of the things I see written on here.

It's annoying that there is no Flash animated rotating orb with which to select topics. That, and it's too easy to log on. There should be a TV, a ticket and a radio and some sort of riddle to enter the org.

If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

And sometimes it shouldn't work at all. Even though you have a top of the line PC with tons of memory and a super fast processor, the log in should just make a strange wooshing noise and then leave you hanging...... wondering........ waiting....

nod I pull a memory chip out of my computer before logging on so that the org feels just right. I am happy to report that my Org Founding Member shirt has yet to arrive.

When people quote a picture post that's 27 inches long. We KNOW the pics are there, because we JUST looked at them! There is no need to make everybody scroll through the same 27 inches of pictures 10 times in one thread.

If you put url in front, go to end of link, back space to get rid of underline and put /url at the end of link it will work just fine smile

So what causes the links to old org threads to get wonky? Just the space at the end, or not posting them with the URL code in general?

Huh. It did work with the URL code. But.. it can't be a link without that. So is it just leaving a space that makes them get weird?

People don't realize they have to use the url and /url for the link to work.

I had put this "help" thread together http://prince.org/msg/3/338872

Mmmmnope. Still works properly for me. But most of the post links I've clicked on lately have taken me to that ComputerWorld thread. I'm still confused. (Clearly) lol

Inside the brackets, right? Or do you not need the brackets. And isn't that the only way to make a URL show as a link in a post? If so, why do some of them take you to a "mystery" thread? lol

Yes, you need the brackets [ and ] - I left those out coz then I get some dumbass underline lol if I put it here.

Then after you have posted it should work. If not go back and edit.

Yeah, I use the URL tags plain and with the =, but that's just because I'm a geek. I still don't understand how some linked thread addresses take you to a totally different thread. Probably just something I'm missing, though.

That's because those that posted the thread link did NOT post it properly with the url and /url thingy so therefore it takes you to some way out wacko thread.

I had that problem before, then I discovered how it work and thus put together a help thread coz I saw folks posting about how there link was not going to where it should of lol
