Org segregation?

Why is it that I very rarely find my discussion forum people in the chatroom? Or that the people who chat almost constantly don't post nearly as much? Is there any particular reason for there being so little overlap between the two? Just wondering...

I've noticed that too. Maybe the ones that usually frequent the chat room say most or all of what they have to say in there. Don't know. I can't speak for anyone else, but ... the novelty of chat rooms in general wore off for me not long after I first became a member of cyberspace years ago. I won't say that I'll never go to one again, I just don't have the desire to as of now.

i asked someone in the chatroom why he didn't post on the forums...and he told me he didn't have anything to add out here..or he didn't want to get involved in it...or something like that...

shame too, cos he was very funny...

I like to post more than chat. It ensures a lot more people will see what I say and, well, I'm an attention whore! Not like Natasha mind you, but hey...

I think I've been in the chat 4 times total. I find the threads more interesting, I can add my 2 cents & be out if I want. The chat seems more "involved", not always a welcomed thing with me...
heart prince I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it prince heart

I've been in the chatroom once.I didn't like it that much and said as much.I found it weird and disorientating.Somebody said i'd be hooked in no time but i haven't been back.

I prefer it out here. smile

i was a chatroomer from late 96 up til about the middle of this year.

for some reason i can't stand it anymore. i don't have the attention span to sit there and talk to a bunch of people that i don't care about and are borderline-retarded since most of the people i've known for years are gone. sad

yeah but u don't make new friends that way. Cheer up. Sure its not the way it was back in 96, nothing is.

There's a couple of clubs in Tel Aviv that I go to.. one special place that I remember the young DJ that recently died of cancer and I say to myself... f*@k if the ole'master was here, he'd have this place kicking. Along comes a new DJ.. you start crackin the whip and your standards are met.

I like both! I have my friends in chat and in the boards! I usually tease if i see a person from the boards in chat

I.e... "Hey Pook i think you took a left turn at the boards"

omfg

lol

...And being the only chatter who answered this thread really... i will have to say that there are two distinct parts to the org confuse shrug

I don't use the chatroom because the technology SUCKS!!! It's impossible to follow and the lack of a renewal effect is nutty. They really should go to a Java format in chat.

before the Org changed, i was strictly in the chatroom. i do see more people who were strictly chatters using the forums, and the forum dwellers now in the chatroom.

You'd be surprise how long some of us have been chatting together. Some of us go as far back as 6 or 7 years chatting.

I started chatting in Hammer's chat years ago.
