I mean, the author of that thread spaces every goddamned sentence, like he were ratteling off a list of phonebook entries.

I feel like I'm reading from the L.A. phone book--ok ok, Wasilla phonebook, but still.

The org has a certain uniformity to it that is greatly appreciated. One knows within minutes how to navigate it's directories, and forums.

But, lawd--can we get a standard moderator bulletin template? I mean, the other month I saw luv4u post something bolded in red that looked like lipstick you'd put on a pig from Wasilla.

And CarrieMpl's bulletins are just.... wait. I don't think she's created any yet . but I digress, if she WERE to create them, you'd know they'd be filled with all manner of flirtatious emoticons--very distracting

You moderators have a very important role on the org. You're sort of like the Cinobites from the Hellraiser movies. You bring order to the org, and serve as an example of what might happen to a person who sells their soul to the devil for some power.

A template. Concise, straightforward, paragraphs. Sometimes, when I read these bulletins i feel like I'm watching high concept, expensive, and completely unnecessary art pieces--like that sports complex in Wasilla.

This thread, on the surface, may feel like a waste of everybody's time. But I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Ben for providing us mere org participants with the means to voice what bothers us in this, the site discussion forum. No matter how inane or trivial it may be, how unimportant, we know we can come here for a sympathetic ear.

I just got finished watching "Kitchen Nightmares" hosted by Gordan Ramsey on BBC America.

Basically the premise of the show is for Gordan to go to troubled restaurants, figure out what's wrong with them, and turn the business around so that it will make a profit.

In tonight's episode he tries to turn around a restaurant in a small town in Wales, that serves traditional Italian food. No matter what he sayd, no matter how much Gordan tries to give the owner, Franchesco, advice, Franchesco refuses to have any of it.

Basically Franchesco is running the business into the ground, despite how beloved the restaurant is by the locals. And no matter what Gordan does to try and curve this--to indeed save it with his advice....his completely earnest, hard driven, direct, sometimes harsh advice... Franchesco just won't listen.

Ultimately, I think the restaurant won't survive more than a year more.

Because he just wouldn't listen to good advice.

Franchesco finally listened to Gordon and banned Imago. yeah... we really should take Gordon's advice.

when we ban imago, we should do it as a live pay per view event. can you imagine the proceeds ben would get? we could be bigger than google.

We'd make a killing on the merchandising alone! Of course the ban would have to take it's time. Each one of us will take turns pretending to press the "ban button", then finally, in a grand finale, we'd all press it together while singing "ding dong the b is dead, the wicked b, of the threads, ding dong the wicked b is dead!".
