Rolling Stone: "Prince attempts to alienate entire fanbase in one fell swoop."

Don't know if this will be mentioned in an upcoming print edition, but the following has been posted on the RS web site:

If so, it isn't urging me to go get Planet Earth any more than I wanted to before.I might just burn that cd. It really wasn't good to me anyway. Prince is an amazing musician, but if he continues to alienate his fans like this, I'll 1) lose all respect for him, and 2) become a Soulja Boy fan. Yah Bitch Yah!

Shouldn't a publicity stunt inspire people to PURCHASE TICKETS?
I honestly could not enjoy a concert of his right now. Still a little sour.

Respect and protect....there was a time when things like this would not happen or could not happen. There simply wasn't the means to invade someones privacy so easily like there is 2day!

I agree with you. I don't think I could spend any money on him right now. I have seen Prince quite a few times now and really don't think I would be missing anything special. I am a huge fan of SHOWS. Some people prefer CONCERTS. A stripped down stage with just the artist and the band, is great sometimes, which is what Prince basically does now. Madonna, is still putting on SHOWS and that is what I am craving now. For me personally, I tend to enjoy the Sign O' the Times/ LoveSexy/ Purple Rain/Diamonds & Pearls shows over the One Night Alone/Hit and Run/ Musicology/ Jam of the Year concerts, though I enjoyed them thoroughly. My point is as of right now with everything that is going on with him, I am in no mood to pay $100 to see him play music from a mediocre album and watch audience members dance to it on stage.

I'm in a weird mood this morning so yes, I am hatin' razz .
I am convinced Beyonce's career would not be where it is, if she had dark skin.
