Moderator | Possible Prince.org virus? Over the weekend, I recieved about a 100 returned e-mails from all kinds of addresses.
The funny thing was, I never sent any e-mails out. It all started when I opened an e-mail from what looked like someone's address on here. When I opened it, it said something like. "This is my first Game You are the first Player I wish you would like it." Then all these returned e-mails started coming in like a flood from just about every address in my contact list from Microsoft Outlook. Then i noticed some e-mails going to people like klhk@bet.com and about 30 or so e-mail addresses I recognized from Prince.org. Anyone have this problem over the weekend. So I assume there is a funky virus going around, but what I don't understand is that I don't e-mail any of you so how could I get returned e-mails with an attached virus that was sent from my e-mail address. Too weird. All Rights Reserved. |

Moderator | Thanks,
I usually use my MAC and have never got a virus. I got a PC for a test machine and should have never used it for e-mail. Anyway, how does this virus work? supposedly it sent e-mails from my address to all kinds of org members. how did it know all these addresses if I have never sent any e-mails to people at the org? Are the e-mails fake? just curious how the e-mails were generated using my address and if they were real. All Rights Reserved. |

This is really embarasing, I'm waiting for phone calls any minute now... "Kelly? Why are you sending me a virus?" I hang my head in shame.... po' me All Rights Reserved. |

That sucks!
WHY would someone create a virus? Vengeful computer nerds are no good for the planet... I once had some asshole from the Org (you know who you are, ya bastard!) send me a virus for not sharing my NPGMC password with them so they could get concert tix (back in the password days). I swear, people really feel like the world owes them something... :X

Aw pumpkin...there, there (can't offer much else, your wife may get upset, lol) I don't use Outlook. It seems very susceptible to viruses.

If it means something more, its humans that give it meaning. Just like Prince sings, "and if the number 13 is such a bad luck number when there's no such thing as luck..." 666 is a superstition that has no base in fact.

Zum, isn't 666 the mark of the beast/devil? Im not sure if this number is actually in the bible as a sign? maybe somebody knows.

Hey, did you get rid of the virus??
I can't believe someone from the .org would send out a virus. That totally sucks.

I had the same shit happen about 2 weeks ago but it appeared to come from another site I used to be on not P.org. Funny thing is thought that I still kept in touch with some of these peeps and had sent a e-mail out to one and the next day I had returned mail for that address so of course stupiud ass me opened the thing and then the attachment. ALl of the sudden my firewall kicks in and my Norton antivirus warns me that a virus just attempted to access my computer. I already had to replace my hard drive last year because a virus I sure as hell don't want to do it again.

Well, I know it may sound sick, & it is, but if you write a good virus & it successfully wrecks a lot of computer systems, you are set up for life! Take the guy who wrote the 'I love you' virus for example. Does a few years in Prison & now works for the CIA for mega bucks because he knows something they dont. Thats the mentality of a virus writter. Ive written a few myself but they were only for my own personal use when someone tried repeatedly to hack my site, it was the only way to ensure they stopped God bless Lewis PS. Everyone should run Norton Anti Virus. Best thing I ever did
