I wanna know what the hell does have to do with this site. Not saying that it should be done away with like other emoticons, but in what situation other than saying "hey hey hey" would you use Fat Albert. When I first joined I almost died laughing when I saw it.

Surely, in any relationship there are different ways of expressing . This can be done to a friend and received with much hilarity. However, to a stranger it would be very offensive. Lighthearted friendships are created on the Org and such emoticons represent normal coloquial speech between humans. Just as in real life you would choose your words to match the recipient and the conversation so it is with the emoticon.

Therefore, to sum up, removing emoticons is unrealistic censorship and a totally redundant action.

You know, I've always been offended by the fact that virtually all of the emoticon people are bald, implying that they are either men or cancer victims. As I am neither a man nor a cancer vicitm (yet!), I do not feel that I am being acknowledged as a part of this community. WHY must my emotions be expressed as though they come from a dick-weilder or tumor factory?
