Currently there's a "Prince Music and More" forum. To discuss Prince, his music, etc. That's a pretty wide range of topics so I'm suggesting they drop the "and more" to leave that forum for disussing Prince music.
Start a new forum For News. Official, Verified News only
and another new Forum for Rumors and Gossip. It could be clearly stated as such so not to cause any (more) confusion among some folx who might have a tendency to believe everything they read. If Rumours prove true they could be moved to the News forum.

i think it's a great idea.

we should have a prince: music and more forum, and a rumors and gossip forum, and a news forum, and a forum for speculation, and maybe forums for questions and another forum for discussion of items that walk the line between news and gossip (it IS prince after all).

i think this would make everything far clearer.

When does a rumour become news, and news become speculation. It's too grey, mods would have their work cut out moving threads for people that don't get the rules. News and Gossip could go together though and leave P and his music seperate.

I'd say a rumor becomes true the same way it does now...somehow it's proven either by source or realization. I'd think most rumors would end up staying in the rumors forum and very few would actually pan out and turn into news.
