Why do some orgers delete their account(s) ?

I´m just curious..why do some people delete their account just because they want to stay away from the org for a while ? I mean why delete it ( and often make a big fuss about it )? Why not just stay away ( temporarily or for good, doesn´t matter ) ?

Some come back under a new alias anyway, but why delete in the first place ?

( Unless you got banned, of course. But that´s a different story)

So, does anybody know ?

Sure, maybe some of the former moderators did it in order to get rid of their MOD badge or whatever, but why do most of the other orgers delete it completely without any apparent reason....am I missing something here ?

Personal Drama biggrin
News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.
You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

I couldn't agree more with you...and if they are taking a break this would allow them to write that in there profile so people would know what was going on.

Mostly Personal Drama I guess, however I have found this place to be a little addictive, and I have at one time thougth I would just delete my account to be done with it.

Heiress

maybe less tempting to post, if you don't actually have an account?

and it takes a couple of days for a new one to get started...

It's just a website, just a username, and this is all just cyber-interaction: deleting, complaining about deleting, etc...

Why would you care?

Then why do you respond ? lol

I was just asking because I was curious whether there are any technical details I´m not aware of, for instance losing an account after a long while of not posting, etc. Just couldn´t understand all the hoopla of proclaiming to delete an account.

Nothing serious.
