I'm curious as to the origins of everyones (not that everyone comes to this section of the org..) org name...
my org name is a play on Purple Rain, and my real name...
how about yours?...what's a banana cologne..?....why Anxiety...why Golden Glove..etc...etc..etc.

i liked having a name with an x and a y in it.

anxiety has always been in my life, so i figured i'd share.

also, every time someone says hi to me, they get to make a stupid joke whether they want to or not.

when i made my org account it was with my real name (Petra) after a while of here the song and GodCreatedWoman came out and i liked it
So I contacted the mods and asked if I could change my name in AndGodCreatedMe et voila

sos= swingoutsister & sosband

gemini= equals me

Carrie is my name. When I tried to sign up with just that it was taken. So I added the Mpls on the end cause that's where I live.


It's a boring explination, I know.

If you put my first and last name together and add a 'uh' you get rozilla. Also, I like godzilla.

Nothing really creative--just my two favorite musical artists. It would be "u2prince" but I think my old account on here from a few years ago kept me from having the correct spelling.

The longer version is that my given name is Joni (not Joanie or Joan) and I loathe & detest being called Joan b/c it's an old lady's name. But I'll let my close friends call me Jone...and I can tell the difference when people say Jone vs Joan .

So Jone is one of my nicknames and the 70 comes from the fact that jone75 was taken when I signed up for the email account. I wasn't clever enough to think of a Princely name when I signed up here...although my HQ and NPG name is Princely.

I like figuring out which songs the Prince-related names come from. Sometimes I'll hear a song and then, "a ha! that's where so-and-so's name came from."
Like Banana Cologne...before hearing Rockhard in a Funky Place I didn't get it but now it reminds me of that song.

I had gone by the nickname Micky, but too many people told me I would make a better Mick, and I found out why.
