You do not have to feel the need to protect The Org's 'good name'. The site works for some, not for all. I have heard 'Orgers' bitch about org on HQ and have people who told me the same.

Org just allows more, so more room for heated debate. It is beautiful about this site, but also dirtay at the same time. But that is just how it works.

i think it's just a symptom of the 'us vs. them'-ism that goes on at all these sites. i think HQ, NPGMC and the Org all have their share of decent folks and nutjobs. it's just a matter of which environment you click with most.

There is a lot of truth in this. The quality of the discussions on The Org is pretty darn low. Actually, it's pathetic. There's little discussion of interest and most is just empty twaddle. Panties anyone?

I've been on The Org since the PML in 1993, so please don't flame me knowing I don't know Jack Shit. And no, I'm not going anywhere, because there is still some (albeit, not much) good content here.

The Org, as a community, fully deserves the poor reputation that it has.

i don't think we really need to beat ourselves up as much as sabaisabai suggests. let's face it - it's off-season in princeland, he's not generating a whole lot for us to be excited about, we're all still coming down from the wealth of news and interviews and concerts from last year, and we're generally a little bored and restless. simple as that.

I like to participate in some of the threads and if I get ignored or flammed, so be it. I find some people to be very nice, but many are quick to jump down your throat and many act like complete no-it-alls. I feel sorry for some of the new people when they ask questions that have been answered here in the past. People jump on them immediately and make fun of their questions. That is one of the things I like about the org. Why does this have to be a serious site all of the time. There are serious threads and informational ones and useless ones. I think that once you get to GD...all bets are off and if you want to participate...you need to particpate. And part of that is getting to know each other and goofing around is part of that.
