PRINCE UPSET BY BEN AFFLECK'S SWEARING Pop superstar Prince walked out of a screening of Ben Affleck's new movie "Jersey Girl" -- because he didn't like the swearing in it.

The pop superstar -- famous for his risque lyrics -- hates to hear profanity since becoming a Jehovah's Witness and has dropped the more controversial songs from his current hits tour.

He says, "We walked out [of 'Jersey Girl'] after an hour. Guess that's what happens when the potty mouth don't work for you anymore."

Prince, who once appeared naked on the cover of his Lovesexy album, is also urging his peers to use the Janet Jackson breast-baring scandal as a mark that such shockers should be a thing of the past.

He adds, "After Janet, we've gone too far. We've pushed the envelope off the table and forgotten there was a table."

"Jersey Girl" director Kevin Smith isn't too concerned with Prince's criticism.

He jokes, "I'm cool with him not liking 'Jersey Girl.' I f-- hated his album Crystal Ball, so now we're even."

well, Kevin Smith can just bite me. Gosh, heaven forbid movies today actually use words that exist in the English language. I'm prone to my cursing moments, too, but there is merit to watching what you say.

Kevin Smith is a whiny little bitch...why does he care that Prince didn't like the film. And Crytal Ball is not even a real album. If Prince really said that stuff (and don't assume he did), then he's clearly kinda crazy too, although we already knew that, didn't we?

Kevin's bit about Prince on his public speaking DVD is excellent though.

that bein said, it CRACKS ME UP that people immediately start complaining about Kevin Smith when reading this. I think his response is hilarious AND appropriate. After all, if Prince is gonna criticize another atist's work in a public forum, he should expect the same thing done to him in return...

christ, i've walked out of Kevin Smith movies, and EW didn't interview me about it. and there wasn't an uproar on the org about it....

And that is why Prince is still capapble of being a total dick...its one thing to leave a theatre cuz you dont like a film but its another to start mouthing of and criticising someone elses art in such a childish way with all this "potty mouth" crap.

Someone should remind him that he released "sexy MF" , "Bob George", "Sister", "let pretend we're Married", "Days of Wild", "Count The Days" etc, etc and just because some people stick with what they do best and what people like whereas he doesnt his art form is no better than Kevin Smith
