hey everyone, wanted to ask the true funk soliders of the #purplearmy for some advice here.

having a big get together with family to celebrate the release of the lost and socially impactful prince album Welcome 2 America, looking for some W2A themed ideas and decorations for the guests at the party. so far i've...

- turned the air conditioning off, can't really feel the "hot summer" with something like that going

- sent out the wrong address for the party, on purpose of course. i thought it would be fun to be able to tell the guests that the real party is "1000 light years away" from where they parked

- removed all the seating from my house, seeing as how this is a W2A release party i think it would get us in the mood if we all had to "stand up and b strong"

- went through a W2A soundboard boot and cut out all the prince singing parts, leaving only the backing girl's voices. i plan on having this on loop in the background constantly during the entire party to really liven things up. also the set is entirely covers

anyone else have any ideas here? really excited for this and want to do this watershed statement of a record justice.
