Quick Celebration Day 3 Review - Musicology Los Angeles (second show) was the screening. The acoustic set was superb. Great choice. - Tour was of Studio A and we got to go into the soundboard room, which was unexpected. They played isolated tracks from rock and roll love affair. Also toured the PR, Cherry Moon, etc. rooms. Still a lot to be desired from the tours. The easy fixes are not being made like letting us see other areas and adding more music/video. - Bob Cavallo panel was kinda boring unless you were really interested in the business side of how purple rain came to be. - Funk Soldiers get an A plus plus. Wow. Highlights include Shades of Umber, Black Muse, Days of Wild, and several others. I don’t even like the tribute bands but they were the bomb. Overall, a good day. - I saw the NPG with Támar at a club. They were solid. But, I liked Funk soldiers a lot better. | |
