The article on the Star Tribune says there was a hologram planned and someone with the NFL confirmed it.If that's true,sounds like it was cancelled due to the backlash.

Let's be logical, though (not that you're not): This is not going to be another MJ or Tupac projection-on-glass sort of thing.

I would think it's going to be a video or some sort of projection on a larger screen to pay tribute to the man in his hometown. Even the moving screens like Madonna had for "4 Minutes" on the Sticky n' Sweet Tour would be reasonable.

I wouldn't be surprised (or mad) if JT sang part of a Prince song, or incorporated (mashed up) a Prince song into something of his own.

Still makes me wonder though. I think there may have been plans for a hologram but sentiment changed that. Jon Bream is pretty reliable and has been writing about Prince for ages. If he claims he was told by an NFL source that a hologram was used during the Friday rehearsal, and that there was going to be a Prince hologram included in the show, I can't help but feel conflicted as to who or what to think or believe. Just my own opinion, but a few of the sources of denials are less than reliable, historically speaking, also it was my understanding that the family doesn't have a say in if something like this happens or not?

I agree. I think that'd be a good and appropriate way to acknowledge and pay tribute to Prince in this situation.

Pretty much everything seems to be a calculated stunt these days but if the stunt itself doesn't pan out for whatever reason(s), they can still benefit by harnessing the outrage/buzz/controversy that's been created and they can get tons of publicity that way.

Phenomenal halftime performance!!! The dance moves...the piano...the Prince tribute...singing every one of his hits...coming up into the stadium...going into the crowd...and the ending with "Can't Stop the "Feeling"...it was PERFECT!!! Phenomenal performance.
