Here's another pretty good review I got for "This Blood Spilt" on my Soundclick page. Has anyone else heard this tune?


This is an acoustic tune, a reflective (man I've been using that word alot lately) and somewhat disturbing tale to be told of guns, children and the all to often tragic ends of mixing the two. Artist08 does a very good job at giving this song the emotional delivery you would expect of a song dealing with a subject such as this. The playing and vocals are very well done, and the melody and tone fit the mood perfectly.

The recording at least here, the guitar seems a bit too hot in the mix and tends to distort and is a bit boomy, but the vocals are still clearly presented and easily heard. The recording itself is pretty good, but a little more EQ work and a bit of compression on the acoustic guitar would probably make this a very good recording.

I would really recommend people give this song a listen, as it's a very good acoustic piece dealing with a subject that needs to be heard.

What's kind of strange: on my end, the guitar sounds fine - soft and not hot at all (and I did stream the song, not download it). Very strange.

Nevertheless, great song, great performance, deep meaning!!!
