New tune on Soundclick - dig! Here's that acoustic version of "Falling Back" that I had promised months ago. I finally got around to mixing it down onto the computer. Let me know what you guys think!

Nice. Sounds a lot cleaner.
My mom started singing along. "You got me falling backwards..." Nice ending too. I hate fadeouts. [This message was edited Sun Dec 21 17:22:46 PST 2003 by VinaBlue]

Although I dont really dig the 'folk music' vibe im gonna revoew it anyway:
The melody is nice. I can imagine it being sung on a camping trip, around the fire, among with some groupies and stuff! Nice guitar work. Dancin Around The Truth is my favorite song of yours! Straight Jacket Funk Affair

Hey hay hay hay. Been awhile - I've been going crazy with all sorts of crap non-music related (WHAT ON ERF!)
edit: I LIKE this song overall. All the following comments were stream-of-connectivity thoughts. The Zoom is working you! I like this - the voice is amazing - tho I myself would have gone with a third of the reverb. With all that reverb, it sounds like a 1970s christian singalong record (I heard tons in youth group, back in the day). Also - your voice sounds pushed back compared to the rest of the stuff - might be the reverb, might be the volume. Can you bring it up some? The backup vocals, tho, are PERFECT. ABSOLUTELY perfect, to me. You barely notice them - they are in the BACKGROUND. Wow - love these harmonies during the break down... reminds me of Maggie's Dream. (listening to them earlier). Hey - you gotta ground that bass, or find some way to control the hum. Lastly, my request that I always make on EVERY review - I'd like to hear more dynamics - like, drop the bass out on a verse or, even just two lines to catch the listener... maybe go in the opposite - JUST the bass for a verse - that would be interesting. Overall, man, this is great. [This message was edited Tue Dec 23 12:13:36 PST 2003 by otan] The Last Otan Track: www.funkmusician.com/what.mp3

Very good song, Tim! I like this, and I think this is your best that I have ever heard, with the exception of TAABWTH. Definitely the best for NFO 2 thus far! The arrangement is great, the guitar is great, and your vocals are real nice on this with good effect.

I agree with Beau. It does sound like a 70's christian sing-a-long with the type of reverb u used. But I like it. Almost a Beatles/Partridge Family groove. I like the retro-psych-a-delica sound. I would like to hear more electric piano or wurlitzer in my left ear along with drums and strings at the end of the song to get that age of aquarius
feel. Just my two cents. The lead vocal was at a good level. Not as wet in the mix as before.Again, nice song and vibe.

Really cool,
It reminds me a little of Kings X and (this is a stretch) Love featuring Aurthur Lee (both whom I dig). Nice stuff! Jshua http://www.soundclick.com/jshua

Thanks, guys for the feedback. I record and mix everything myself in an upstairs room on a Zoom MRS 1044. I'd love to go into an actual studio with good musicians and do some really kick-ass versions of most of my songs. Until then, however, I have these demo-quality versions. I appreciate the feedback.
