Anxiety

I looove "Freak Out", "Sheik Yerbooti" and "You Are What You Is". I grew up with my parents playing Zappa all the time, so I didn't have much choice in the matter...but I feel fortunate in that regard.

Zappa is such an interesting musician and person.
Steve vai is my big influence, and he got me into zappa, dweizel is a great guitarist too.

Theres a book of the best U.S speeches and Frank is the only musician in it, for his speech during the parental advisory thing.

i don't see any of the usual orgers answering..
where are OTAN, NFO, VINABLUE, FLASHPOINTE, CLOUD9MISSION, ecc? don't y'all know the great frank?
i don't care about his rock side, it has always been only the way to make money, and make a reputation, in order to produce his orchestral works.. and that's what zappa is all about. take a listen to YELLOW SHARK boys and leave steve vai.. that is only smock in your eyes

Flashpointe

"You are what you is" is the JAM! I like the video, where they are making fun of Reagan. I also like "Shiek Yerbouti". That CD is cool, I like the song "Snakes" and the Hob-Noblin song- "hob noblin with de goblin". I also like some of the older Mother's stuff. My dad was a Zappa fan. I got into his later stuff, like "Sex".

Peace,
JD

Frank was and is unique... and missed.

Frank has a cover story on the current Jan 2004 issue of Down Beat magazine.

Hey everybody! I LOVE Zappa! That is what really got me into truly creative MUSIC. It also helped me with being experimental musically. It's really inspirational. I've been into Zappa for a long while. Click on my Org name and you'll see my list of inspirational artists!(Zappa is on there and has been since day 1) =^) I hope everybody had a nice holiday. TAKE CARE! Speaking of a little "odd" MUSIC, anybody like Primus? They're kinda like a watered down version of Zappa I think but Les Claypool kicks butt. That's about it, see ya.
SAPERE AUDE!
