I have played live here locally before and in Columbus, Ohio. Most of the time I just sing over my pre recorded instrumentals because I don't have a band to play my songs. Sometimes I have some Bible teaching mixed in between songs, etc. I would love to have a band play my songs live while I sing or direct the band and crowd!

That's one of the main reasons I stay jealous of JDODSON's music. Everything you do reminds me of Controversy/1999 era Prince demos that should have been released. More 2 Love is the jam!!!

New Funk Revolution sounds very 80's! This sounds like a Dirty Mind outtake!
I really like the keyboard sound in the background on Whip of Cords. More 2 Love. Sounds like a 1999 outtake. WOW. The Forever Endeavor is smooth. Beautiful!

Man, thank you all for the great compliments! You are all my friends, and I really appreciate your feedback. My minimalist music wouldn't be so minimalist if I had mo $ but one of these days I will (by the Grace of God) so in that day, we are all gonna be jammin' together in a big studio!

\man u r trippin!
I remember New Funk Revolution..is this a revamp? the vocals come out a little more in this one. Tight kinda pop jam, but it needed somehting 2 elevate it, the beat couldve been slowed down, but that's just me. then i heard ur song that u were trippin on "whip Of Chords" this is a very very Bootsy inspired track. it is all over the place, and would take sum time 4 me 2 get in2 because it lies deep in da phunk. Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

Wow. I like this stuff. JD, you have been doing some better harmony lately with your voice. I really like your lower voice that you have been using: don't get me wrong, the high pitch synth voice is really FUNKY, but it's nice to see you having variety in your vocals.
New Funk Revolution: This should be the new-New Funk anthem! Good message, some hidden messages there also. I like the synth-funk sound on this, very retro but also futuristic in vision at the same time. More 2 Love: I agree with statements from Psykosoul above that this sounds like a circa 1982-84 unreleased Prince demo. It's amazing to me that you get this sound out of your limited equipment. "Big sexy, white chocolate, hypnotic"...lol, very fun lyrics! Whip of Cords: Some very loose P-Funk on this. I dig all the sounds that are in this. It sounds to me like you used at least 6-8 music tracks on this. Multi-layered and very funky. Once again, another cool P-Funk like verse in there..."so squeaky clean you can eat off the walls, but yet so mad funky you can funk up the halls", and, "whip you clean, make New Funk your new hygiene". The Forever Endeavor: This was what I was talking about in my first paragraph when I said that you are harmonizing very well. This is very smooth dance/funk and the positive message is well blended with the song. The rhodes solo at the end is very nice and the coda on this song is awesome! Overall, I give you five stars, especially because you do all this recording, mixing, and writing yourself, and given the limited resources you have, you make some very good stuff. Your music quality is as good as studio stuff that came out in the early 90's, and you probably spent far less to achieve it. I will do my best to promote you and the New Funk Order artists in the future. Great stuff! WB

Peace, JD don't change your minimalist musical mindset. I really like your approach 2 recording. invest only in better recording gear. your funk is funky with the instrumentation that u use...keep up the good work.
