Deos any1 know what guitar fuzz effect prince used on the lovesexy album??

I'd say either Boss Turbo Distortion or Boss Distortion combined with compression and lots of mids in the EQ. I also suspect there is some Octave pedal on it.

I think live he might have been using an a/b switch. So then, hitting the switch would send his guitar signal through an entire effects loop. This would make sense, as it's very difficult to turn on delay, wah wah, distortion and lord knows what in one go.
