Great news and another acoustic guitar question!

Sorry but I really had to share this with all you great people here. =^) I have some very good MUSIC related news that I posted on my Yahoo group... I just dunno how to "label" it. hehe

http://groups.yahoo.com/g...ckFigures/

It's regarding my new band project that I have going on. By the way, why is it hard to find an acoustic/electric that allows you to use a guitar strap for around $400-$500??? Just wondering because I went to Guitar Center and couldn't find any guitars I really liked. hehe Oh well, take care everybody and sapere aude! =^)

P.S. I had to share the news with you all first, my fellow artists. =^)

You know, I've never liked acoustics. Do you really want to be on a stage with one of those big, wimpy sounding boy scout/busker type things around your neck? What you need, my friend, is a bad ass telecaster. And if you have one already, you need another. Get a Boss acoustic modeler pedal if you have ta for chrissakes! smile I'm only half-kidding though. Can't stand that "MTV unplugged" sound.

Check into the Alvarez AJ60s. They're huge enough for the acoustiphobes to feel manly, and you can bolt the strap right to the guitar.

Got mine fer $200 but it was a special deal. You can get them with electronics for around $390.

But yeah, Hectim is right, get a Telecaster you half-man!

You can walk into any music store and get them to fit strap holders for under 5 bucks! I had my Takemine fitted with one and haven't looked back since

Martin makes a new thin bodied cutaway acoustic that plays pretty darn nice. Sounds get unplugged, too. I like mine. It wasn't that expensive (under $500!). Check it out.

Hey everybody! Well, the electric/acoustic isn't for performing on stage at all. So no, I'm not a wussy! hehehe It's for recording some new studio tracks that I have. I have an OLD acoustic that is way beyond its prime. I need something that just sounds good in the studio. So it doesn't even have to look cool. =^) I have seen a couple guitars around $600 that I thought maybe I should just go for but I know I should for at least now stay around $400 or so because I am looking at buying some other equipment like either software or a new mic.
I need an acoustic with a decent low end "boom" but that doesn't sound "muddy" either. A nice clear kinda bright sound would be cool. Especially since a fair amount of the tracks are ballads. Some decade I would like to do an acoustic project but I'm very happy with my 5 electrics that I currently have. BTW, does anybody know of maybe the place with the best deals on instruments during Xmas or in general? I have been looking online but most places have items at the same price. There must be some discount website! I did find a couple of sites that had "Black Friday"(Day after Thanksgiving) sales. I couldn't find one fo rGuitar Center though. =P hehe Take care everybody!

P.S. Nobody has checked out the Yahoo group..huh? hehe =^)

I checked out some guitars today at Guitar Center. I liked a Ibanez that was around $450 and a Takamine for the same price. I played a Yamaha that was $500 but I actually liked the 2 $450 guitars better. They seem to have better materials and better overall tone. I saw a nice Fender that was about 50% off on clearance for about $430 but when I looked at it, it had a huge crack in the back...I don't want that!!! So far I'm leaning towards the Ibanez. I can't help the urge to want a Boss GT-6 either though for my new guitar FX processor! ahhh!!! Any thoughts? BTW, I will have a new update on my Yahoo music group soon too. I have a LOT going on musically at the moment. :+) Take care everybody!
