Prince on bass - the rumble. I've read in DMSR about the bass technique used in stuff like Cloreen Baconskin and Irresistable Bitch, but dang if I can do it.

I think he's just strumming the strings. worked for me on some of my earlier stuff.
I loved the a4mentioned tracks and wrote some appropriated versions. 'dre Tried many flavours - but sooner or later, always go back to the Purple Kool-aid!

I've often wondered how the 'rumble' is achieved. I think it may be a combination of slapping the string while muting the note and alternating between the dsired note and its octav above. Perhaps? You do as I say | |
