New Funk and you. What do you want from the New Funk Order? Where do you want this project to go? Are you satisfied so far with the message, the outline, and the music?
Do you think that you would like to be an actual performing artist, or would you like to be a music producer/idea creator? Do you seek to make money by being a popular regional/national/international artist, or are you happy being a positive influence locally where you are and here in cyberspace? Participating in the New Funk Order does not just mean musical participation- it can be word of mouth acceptance, idea contribution, artwork creation, etc. Anything positive to advance FREEDOM OF MUSIC to the world is what being a participant in the New Funk Order is about. Let's hear what you all think. Peace, JD

I'd like to see albums come out regularly (every 6 months or so), and lots of build up for when these albums are about to come out. (Teasers, sample tracks, cyber singel etc) And maybe colaberations between some of the artists would be intresting listening. Some live recording would be great to. These are just ideas, I just want you 2 b free. NOTE: THIS ACCOUNT IS NOW CLOSED. PLEASE CONTACT “K A M L L E”

Very good ideas, Camille. You are on the right track. Any help with the NFO is always appreciated, and I thank you for being a part of it.

I'd like to see it grow into a large community of musicians, writers, artists, etc, and to see it nurture a collaborative energy that brings all these artists together to create MORE than any individual can bring to the group... whether it's global collaborations or hooking up with someone in your city that's in the group... I dunno.
I think it would just be AWESOME to create this collective creative organism where Vina's keys and vocals appear on 4 tracks, my guitars are on 2 of those tracks, and also appear on 2 other tracks, Cloud9's drums appear on 3 tracks and his bass playing is on 3 other tracks... where EVERYTHING is so interwoven, it's like a huge funk symphony of global collaborations. It would be an amazing accomplishment. Now, as to HOW that gets done, I dunno. I'm willing to lay down rhythm guitar loops for anyone that wants to grab them and add them to their songs, but I know half the folks dont use software to create their songs. yeah - even bigger tho - just in that there's tons of people on the record, appearing on different tracks, sometimes playing different instruments than on other tracks. It that like Parliament? then, yeah. definitely. The Last Otan Track: www.funkmusician.com/what.mp3

My goal is for us, as one, reach as many people as possible. And keep bringing the funk, the rock, the soul on other projects. I am very excited cause lots of people have lots of ideas on how to promote, and nobody is after money, and I like that. And the ideas about collaborations is great too.

You like me, you really like me. Hey, I need guitar on some of my songs. Tell me what you think about Flutter and if it inpires a solo out of you.

Everyone pass the mp3 around and pee on it. I'm not peeing on anything but I'd love to be a part of Otans' master plan. It's an exciting idea.

Where do you want this project to go?To the moon! Are you satisfied so far with the message, the outline, and the music? yes Do you think that you would like to be an actual performing artist, or would you like to be a music producer/idea creator? Both, and I'm looking for a collaborator. Do you seek to make money by being a popular regional/national/international artist, or are you happy being a positive influence locally where you are and here in cyberspace? I'd like to pay my rent by making music, and eventually buy a car and a house. Peace, JD I know lots of us talk about the Freedom of Music, meaning the music shouldn't cost anything. Yes, we are all giving this away for free. But, the Freedom that I think about is more about the fact that LOTS of good music doesn't get played on the radio anymore. What happened to artists that write their music? What happened to creativity? Why is it that people who just look good, can barely sing, but REALLY know how to dance, get all this attention? That's whacked. I wont name names, but I can't stand it when people go crazy for "artists" who maybe co-wrote 4 songs on their cd, and the hit song was written by someone else.

I'm really interested in the message behind the whole project. The original message. Coming together and offering creativity for those that want to hear it.
