Tell me - did your parents listen to jazz? How did you get into that fusion stuff? I couldn't play anything other than mainstream rock, no way, no how.

My brother is a session drummer and on Friday nights him and his mate Shaun used 2 do a weekly percussion practice in our basement. It was literally thru watching those two jam away that got me going :I: suppose.

We listen (and DJ) 2 a lot of rare groove material from Slave to Jeff Lorber, Weather Report, Roy Ayers, Johnny Hammond and Herbie Hancock among others.

:I: got a bit in2 the Rock scene thru Beavis & Butthead of all the ppl in the world! However, this leaned More on the grundge side of things Seeing ppl like Soundgarden, Spin Doctors, Whale, Metallica and of course the Red Hot Chilli's...

:I:'m not sure about this 'nu-metal' thing going on tho'!

If U get the chance, check out Sirocco Rituals on my site, it's a Funk/Rock band :I: used 2 play Drums for but now :I: am producing 4 Saiful who is on the roster.

Glad y'all like it but :I: can't take all the cred... :I: got my mate Colin Humphries (who :I: used 2 play in a Jazz Quartet with) 2 play Sax and Flute and my friend Kate Hands (www.mukka.co.uk) plays all Live strings on the first track.

But just 2 preserve the ego, :I: did all the arrangements for respective instruments (although :I can't play them!!!)

Efe is embarking on mass distribution of the album, just finished his booklet and he's sending it off for 1000 copies to be pressed and marketed on Monday.
