Very proud of new recording!

Hi, I'd like you to hear a song I wrote and played with my band.

It's sounds like seventies rock and it's called 'tie me down' (I mixed it myself!).

Thanks Gooeythehamster!

Are you from Holland, too?

Never heard of Hedwig And The Angry Inch, but our singer tends to like bands with that kind of names.

Then where are you?

(And do you recognize the feeling that native English speakers lack the knowledge of their language to understand the deeper truths and linguistic subtleties of your writings?)

Paris. Looking for Uncle Willem's cat. The cat is still missing.

And my English is shabby. I am told I use 50's English. Me British mates constantly laugh out loud as soon as I use words like "spiffy' or "naft"

Sorry, but either you're not allowed to send orgNotes (perhaps because you've only recently joined the site), or you've already sent too many orgNotes today!

Wanted to say EVERYBODY should buy Hedwig songs!

Try the word 'fervent'! I said once that I was a fervent musician to a scottish girl, and she was amazed to hear it from a Dutch. She had forgotten the word, but she found it extremely cool and promised to use it fervently (which she didn't).

I wish there were places where you could chat like this in Dutch. I mean, 'Prince enthousiast' is apparently a pretty good predictor for how broad someone's interest is. And there are some great 'orgers', like IceNine, Wellbeyond and Teller, who keep the standards high. But there seems always to be some glass wall between me and native English speakers. Especially Americans, who have a very different cultural framework.

But on the other hand, I've never found any Dutch chat forums that isn't full of flaming and that is about Prince or whatever can be found beyond the boundaries of our universe...

U have a very nice voice, and the song is clear unlike mine!

I like the handclaps thoughout in the breaks on the verses.

Although my AOL, kept breaking the song every 30 seconds, i could c that u have what it takes.

Cool song!

Thanks! But I'm afraid I'm not the lead singer. I play the piano (which is only very soft - you can hear it clearly behind the guitar solo) and one backing vocal.

Wish I had that voice!
